Learn How to Make Your Own Website: HTML and CSS for Beginners

Expand your skills with our web development course covering introductory HTML5 and CSS3. Our goal is to provide an accessible course for anyone interested in building websites for fun, for their project, or as a step in exploring a potential career change.

Who is this course for?

Our course was created for complete beginners but you'll also be able to add to your web skills if you already have some experience. Included is a self-study tutorial, followed by a workshop day where we will go over questions and intermediate material together in person.

Why do I want to make my own website?

Having your own website is an important component in promoting your personal project or business. Being able to build and update it yourself, besides providing added control in how you present yourself, is a rewarding venture on its own.

Take on a fun and practical learning project this year ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

About

I've been working in web development for over a decade. In Berlin I have developed websites for a number of companies and organisations including Team Europe, Delivery Hero, and UNCAC Coalition. I have also designed courses and taught for Career Foundry, the Institute of Design, and the English Language Teachers' Association of Berlin.

Goal

The goal by the end of the course is to be able to create a fully functional website. Here is an example of a website that can be made after completing the tutorial and fine-tuning it at the workshop.

Need more help?

Extra one-to-one time slots are available if you're interested in going over your website in more detail after the workshop day or if you'd like to get into intermediate topics like customising a WordPress theme.
